Dude, if your profile is genuine, that does indicate something - my PD is also Nov. 2005, EB3-I. Both of us got 1 year EAD instead of 2.......hmm.....my attorney called USCIS and according to the attorney they (USCIS rep) couldn't tell them the reason for 1 year EAD.......asked me to do infopass!
mate i am in the same boat as you. but I personally don't think anything can be done to change that. It is completely based on IO's judgement when approving application.

This is really a great effort to bring all immigration related information under one roof.
I have one suggestion. Is it possible to increase number of rows to 200( choice to users with 25/50/100/200 showings per page) and show more than 5 pages of data. I believe at least 10 pages is a good start.

I just found out that I have an employment gap of 11 months working without authorization. I applied for an I-485 in 2007 (I-140 approved) and my paralegal told me I didn't need to renew my H-1 nor apply for EA, I was covered by the pending I-485. Today I got a RFE requesting proof of authorization to work since my h-1 expired, and realized I couldn't be working when I hired a real lawyer to take care of this case and she informed me so. How to respond my RFE??? Would they forgive 11 months of working without permit because of bad advice? I have a 9 year history of keeping my papers legal and up to date until this incident. Please help!
Did you apply for I-765 (EAD card) along with your I-485 application. If you did, that could be the posible reason why the paralegal recommended you for not applying extension of H1. Try to find out if you have a valid EAD card and that should help to reply the RFE. If not, try to check if you have a valid I-131 (advance parole). Just drive to Canada and fly back in, using AP, and say that you were not even here for last many years ;-) How about that?

Not necessarily. Since GC is for future job, it's not impossible for the employer and the employee to be in different cities.
You better check to see if you are invalidating your entire petition.
You may get denied if they determine that the job you are taking is not where you originally stated. I say this because, if you haven't even filed for AoS then you clearly can't be using AC21 portability at this stage.

1. My EAD application status at USCIS website got changed to,
Current Status: Approval notice sent.
this morning. My heartfelt thanks to ImmigrationVoice activists for this.
My spouse's EAD application status still shows as,
Current Status: Case received and pending.
In my case, my spouse's application is the derivative application of mine. Any incidence of spouse's EAD case getting stuck while the primary's application going through?
2. Also, Is EAD approval anyway related/tied to I-485 Application? In that case, it is understandable for my spouse not to see her status changed. Because, her I-485 Applications status is shown as,
Current Status: Fingerprint fee rejected and notice mailed; case in suspense.
though we both have already finished our finger printing. Our attorney says, its USCIS's mistake and he has already sent $70(once again) towards her fingerprinting fees to be on the safer side.
Any information would be helpful.

It depends on if you filed the application yourself or thru lawyer authorizing them with a G28
- if thru lawyer they will receive all receipts except EAD cards which comes directly to ur home address. In that case you will be safe because the receipts and EAD cards will be easily spaced out by atleast 6o days.(receipt coming first). So then you can update address with USCIS by phone + AR11 so that EAD comes safely to new address
- if not thru lawyer then receipts will come to address specified which might be your old address. USPS redirection does not work
- you can try these things
- approach postal office and check if you can buy a PO box and deposit all mail coming at old adress there and collect it weekly once.
Hold mail for next x days (whatever maximum)..and renew it once x expires..
also clearly check with them if the govt notifications which do not redirect will be held or PO'ed.
these are just my suggestions. not sure that it will work. but if you try any please post your experiences too

This company cannot give me cash but only check. Is it possible to file additional H1B just for this company and start working for them under this new H1B?

I am a law abiding up-standing Citizen of that country, and that stupid lady was asking me why am I going there. This is like asking somebody why they are going to their house. So, I just gave her a name...now that I look back, I should have said "Mr. Johnny Walker"..since I always pick up a Johnny Walker at the duty free!!..but Dhurandhar Bhadvadekar sounded much more cool...

Since the MTR was already filed you can still extend the H-1B. However, if the MTR gets denied then no further H-1B visa extension is possible.
BTW - even the H-1B extension can be applied based on 'Labor Certification applied more than a year ago' criteria an I-140 denial will override the above benefit.

I was reading the USA Today articles and I have a suggestion...guys please try to do spell check before you submit to such forums. It looks bad on us especially when we call ourselves skilled immigrants.
One glaring error that I saw was this guy with a MBA from Stanford Univ and he wrote it as "Standford Univ"......Is there a univ called "Standford"???? I tried googling it but did not find it...I hope it was not somebody from our group....
I understand what you are saying but its difficult for people to check their typos when posting online. I mean not every one has that time when they are juggling things. It's not M$oft outlook right :) B T W, I am not the one who posted it.

If I use AC21 for AUdit manager, which is considered to be in the same occupational classification, will it be a problem? My salary will probably be double of what is on the LC application.... your thoughts are appreciated..
I heard that a major change in salary with regards to AC21 can be a problem..and the the title "manager" will always excite IOs ...for RFEs...
